SESTANTE is an organic fungicide formulated in water-dispersible granules effective in fighting the following pathogens: downy mildew of vines (Plasmopara viticola), downy mildew of tomatoes and potatoes (Phythoptora infestans), alternaria of tomatoes and potatoes (Alternaria lycopersici and Alternaria solani) and against pseudo-downy mildew of cucurbits (Pseudoperonospora cubensis). SESTANTE has contact activity on germinating spores and endotherapeutic activity on the mycelium in the very early stages of development. SESTANTE contains famoxadone, an active ingredient that inhibits mitochondrial respiration belonging to the family of quinol inhibitor fungicides (Qo-I) which has a preventive action on spore germination. Other anti-downy mildew products of the following chemical groups belong to this family: strobilurins, oxazolidinediones, imidazolinones.
